Inside Puebla's Culture, gastronomy is one of the richest and intense manifestations of all its regions. It is world known for some of its dishes, such as: the mole poblano, the chiles en nogada and the traditional candies, but its riches does not end here. Its typical dishes shows off how it perfectly combines taste, smell, textures and color. It puts together in a typical dish spanish and native heritage adorning it with Arab and French influences. Chalupas, verdolagas, tinga, pipián, gusanos de maguey, romeritos, chanclas, cemitas, molotes are, between others, a good purpose to visit Puebla. Santa Clara Street invites you to taste a wide diversity of Typical Candies. State's Crafts are examples of it's inhabitants sensibility that through elements and color give shape to a Country's Spirit. In every region, beautiful crafts are made; the native essence or spanish touch is kept, in the production process or in esthetics of the pieces. Examples like Talavera, ónix, amate paper and broidered textiles have been around the world enhancing its name, and all of these products can be admired and bought in the traditional market of “El Parián”. Here, different styles got together to create a way of living, a unique personality, to a fully poblano character. The Church of San Francisco Acatepec and Santa María Tonantzintla, the Cathedral, Santo Domingo de Guzmán with its Chapel of Rosario, as well as the House of Alfeñique, the Palafoxiana Library, the House of Los Muñecos and the Municipality Palace, are some of the best examples to this. Death offerings in Huaquechula, the famous Flowers Fair in Huauchinango, the Ritual to Quetzalcóatl in Cholula, the Flyers in Cuetzalan, and the Fair in Puebla that coincides with the celebration of May 5 th Battle, are a shimmer of color in the poblana polychromy. There are several archeological sites being one of the most important Cholula, with one of the most important ceremony centers, Cantona, known as the “Splendor of the Mesoamerican urbanization” ; and Yohualichan, “The House of the Misterious Night”, in the north region of the State. It also has the celebration of the most traditional and historic Carnival of Huejotzingo , where is consumed with the great shots of finely wood carved muskets, more than a ton of gunpowder, it remarks a unique contrast in music and gowns representing suaves, French, zacapoaxtlas and town people; we also refer to the famous Atlixcáyotl Festival, that since 1965 is celebrated during the last Sunday of September being this a wonderful Festival of typical dances where you can know about dancing and music manifestations of the ethnic groups settled in the eleven regions of the State of Puebla. Due to its natural riches, several activities of Alternative Tourism can be carried out, such as mountain climbing, photography, horse riding, strolling, fishing, rafting (river), speleology, free flying (delta wing and parapet), bike riding, camping and rappel, among others. Close to the Capital City, the most important Zoo in Latin America can be found, Africam Safari , where a great variety of wild animals and a wide collection of Mexican animals, much of them endangered species, live freely like if they were in their natural habitat. In Puebla you can also enjoy of the night life in its bars and discotheques; of its gastronomy in its exquisite restaurants; take a drink in the Portales ; buy in its modern shopping malls; take a walk through antiques bazaars in the famous Plazuela de Los Sapos ; visit craft workshops and stores; ice staking; enjoy leisure time in its watering places and sports clubs; golf camps; participate in the cultural life of the City mainly in movie shows, theater, exhibitions, and so on, Puebla is the Ideal State for pleasure and leisure…
